Infogram –
Infogram asks a few questions to get started, and goes on to
ask what plan would be best suited for your needs. The free one is great to get started until
you know it’s the one you’d like to use for more and bigger projects. The next
step is to figure out what template you’d like to use (Blank, Flow Light, Step
By Step Chart, Timeline Dark, Flow Dark, Infographic Modern). Template
are simple to use and follow. It
contains an upgrade option where you can then download your work.
There are numerous templates to choose from and are listed
by categories. You are able to upload
pictures by clicking and dragging, and the best part is that it contains Microsoft
work functions. The best part of this
platform is that the pre-inserted graphics in templates can be rearranged.
This infographic platform works best when using Google
Chrome. It includes a video to watch at
startup. You will need to pick a theme and color palette, from there you will
be able to edit the text, icons and images by double clicking and dragging. The
templates include flyers, posters, and even reports. This does takes a while to load up, but
fairly easy to use. This is great for
non-designers to create and share product.
The following infographic is an example of an article done
with a Piktochart to show what Pew Research Center found in a 2018 survey. CLICK TO VIEW FULL PIKTOCHART.
This is what I LOVE about infographics: we used the same template and the same article, and our infographics and information we choose to focus on were very different. This is the perfect example of how we can use infographics with students and they will each create their own personalized product.
ReplyDeleteThis infographic was amazing! You mastered Piktochart as I suffered using the platform. Great graphics and content. I used Eas.ly and this looks way more put together. Good job!
